You know, I liked this one--it was the first Vampire Chronicle book I really liked after QotD. The angels were stupid, but I loved the rest--the rich descriptions, and the mystery of Ursula, and the midnight mass.

Also, it didn't drag on and on and on the way some of her books can. :)

I'm kinda picky about her books. I like Interview, hated Lestat, LOVED QOTD, couldn't stand TOTBT...Then there were the other vampire books. None of which I liked....EXCEPT this one. I really enjoyed it, actually, and didn't mind a little ridiculousness a little here and there. If you think about it, it's in ALL of her books.
