I don't understand what you mean; there is punctuation in the book. It is written as a child's diary, so it is in a casual (and sometimes grammatically incorrect) vernacular. But there is definitely punctuation!

if I'm remembering correctly, there are no quotation marks at all, but other than that there was punctuation. it distracted me at times when I first read it, but I did enjoy the story as a whole.
