So, I've been excited to read Impostor for a while now, probably because I didn't take too close a look at the summary. I read "x-men like powers" and "secret agent" and "stop a serial killer" and went "WOOHOO SIGN ME UP FOR THAT, PLEASE

LOL kudos to you for actually finishing the book. (Did you?) The summary doesn't sound too bad but the actual story sounds terrible. Why do some people a) seem incapable of doing research or working things out so they make sense, and b) have weird hangups that creep into the story? Are people of average intelligence and sense such a scarce resource that one of them can't be hired or prevailed on to give the book a read-through and give an honest opinion?
