Has anyone read The Book of Air & Shadows by Michael Gruber? I keep trying to read it and after a couple of pages, I find the narrator so irritating and rambling that I can't continue. I haven't gotten through more than a dozen pages, which I realize is nothing, but it's that off-putting.

Does it get better? Is the story worth it? I loved the

I read it! It gets better but not as much as I'd hoped. Not much ultimately happens and the mystery is kind of tepid.
