I've only read one of your short stories but it was enough to put me off from ever touching your books.

Do you know how to not make your character come across as sympathetic? By having her take pictures of a naked girl in the locker room without the girl's knowledge or consent. And do you know what is not a good revenge against a high schooler ( Read more... )

This is my D: face. Fucking hellfire, even in an antagonist that's particularly depraved.

What was it vengeance for?

The protagonist had a crush on the girl's boyfriend. The girl found out and more or less said very harshly that the protagonist would never be good enough to catch the guy's eye.

Shit. This sounds exactly like the kind of thing I stay away from when picking something to read. What's the name of this vile atrocity, may I ask?

"The Truth About Dino Girl" from Geektastic. If you ever do decide to read it, there are some great stories but that one is one to steer clear of.

No kidding! I wouldn't wish this on any bully, and I'm speaking as someone who's been picked on from hell and back to sheer misery in middle school. And we know how we feel about middle school.

Me too. When I got to high school, it was a relief when no one ever looked at or talked to me. It meant they were making fun of me behind my back instead of to my face.
