Zen Cho's Sorcerer to the Crown (link still to Amazon until I have time to figure out if/what I want to switch it to) is probably the book I've been most looking forward to this year and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I don't know how Sorcerer to the Crown manages to have its cake and eat it too, but it absolutely does -- as a book, it's a sparkling homage
