Did I ever tell you about how the librarians at Undisclosed Location own a copy of OaFK with White's own mediocre drawings in the flyleaves? And that it was a gift from him to a young man of whom he was enamoured? And that one of the pictures was of Lance and Jenny caught in flagrante, and White took the "naked" bit literally, and Guinevere was in the corner of the picture, out of the way, while all the attention was drawn to Lancelot?

They are well worth reading, although sometimes difficult, in the way it is often hard to see your favorite authors being difficult people.

I did a reread just a few years back . . . and now reading all these biographies makes me want to do another one!
