I always think of myself as not being particularly interested in reading poetry, and then I read a volume of poetry full of words being used in the most gorgeous ways and feelings pushing themselves on you and remember that often I love poetry, I just don't remember that I do.

The other problem, of course, is that I have no idea how to write about ( Read more... )

How did you back your entries up? Is there some kind of function, or did you have to do it manually? o_o (I can't even imagine, though I currently have few enough entries that maybe I could.)

Also, stalkerrrrr. XD

Also, I love poetry!

It is pretty easy actually! There's a function on DW that allows you to import entries from another journal - it's under the 'organize' tab, when you're on your profile - and you tell it where you want them imported from and what you want imported along with it (comments, icons, etc.) and then it shoves you in a queue to have it done for you. It took DW about a day and a half to get through importing mine, but mostly that's because right now the queue is HELLA LONG due to everyone panicking over the LJ attacks.

Poetry is awesome! I just have so many novels to read that I rarely remember to read it. >.> I also enjoy writing strict-form poetry as a game for myself, though it's been a while since I sat down to do any.

Oh yeah. I backed mine up in the wee hours of this morning, on LJbook. It took me a couple tries because of multiple people trying.

Poetryyyyyyyy.

Oh, that's fun! Yeah, I always loved those exercises in class, and it makes me sad sometimes that no one does that anymore. Writing poetry that sounds beautiful AND fits a form? Impressive. Good going, Willie S.

Sonnets are fun! Double dactyls: EVEN MORE FUN. (Although uh slightly less elegant.)
