Since the Random House Trixie Belden reprints were received well, I went and searched for scans of the older Trixie books. These are the Cello covers used from 1954-1962. Only books 1 through 10 were printed in that time.

I love Nacy Drew, but I am so much more like Trixie that those books have a larger space in my heart.

Now, does anyone remember a series of books about a girl named Cherry who became/was a nurse?

Cherry Ames Nurse series. I've read only a few of them.

Those are great!!! I grew up on Trixie! Actually just bought #1 at a used book store last week. :)
