Excellent book...one of my favorites in the genre. I will express caution in regards to the sequels Xenocide and Speaker for the Dead...they're much denser and more complicated, so you really have to be ready to spend some time with them. To date, I have not been able to get through either.

Both sequels are excellent and well worth any effort required. For what it's worth, I prefer them them to the original.
