Catpiss Stank

Let's say you are standing on someone's porch, and you realize that there is a catpiss stank coming from inside that home. You know that an infant and an older child live there. Calling CPS for a cat pee smell is insane if the kids are otherwise well taken care of.

This. CPS is already overburdened, I think it's a huge waste of resources to make them investigate a stink.

a foul odor alone would not be reason enough for me to take any action, but it might cause me to be more observant for other signs of a problem.

Without signs of physical, emotional or some other kind of abuse, or obvious signs of neglectful behavior (such as being able to see garbage all over the floor of the home, the kids being unwashed and smelling bad) that would not be enough of a reason to call CPS.

In fact, I wouldn't say or do a thing, as the smell of cat pee is not nearly enough for me to suspect anything. I don't know why I'd be on their porch though anyway.

I have 2 cats. My oldest is 16 and had bladder problems for a while, do you have any idea how long it takes to get the smell out? I would assume they had a similar problem with their cat.
