I tried to intervene on my sister's behalf years ago. My parents got defensive and threw accusations at me that I was the problem. It didn't solve a thing and probably made my parents more determined not to see the problem. With that in mind I'd tell my sibling they're being an asshole, hide them on facebook and go on with my life. When it comes down to it I'm not their parent and only have so much sway.

Oh, hi! Did you meet my SIL?

Yeah, I told my husband to stay out of it. Their parenting, their problem. Especially when they all will drop like a tonne of bricks on my husband if he says anything to her about her behavior.
