I would send my kid to the school without uniforms. I went to school with uniforms for a couple years and I hated it.

Exactly the same everything, I choose the no uniform school. I'm just not a fan of uniforms. I wouldn't turn down a school due to a uniform, but it wouldn't win any bonus points ( ... )

When I was in high school in suburban Atlanta there were several students - mostly boys - who came to school with dental grills, when they were popular back then. The school banned it too. They mostly banned things as they came along - like bandanas were fine until gangs started using it, and they banned it. Then it was long white T shirts and dental grills.

I know people have them, but I doubt anyone in our town would end up with one.

I really don't care if my son wears uniforms, so he'd just go to the closer one.

This is probably how I'd decide to, if all other things were equal.

It depends upon the age of my kid. Middle school? I'd choose the uniform school. High school? I'd choose the non-uni school.

This is all because I am trying to figure out where to send my kid for kindergarten, and I'm discovering almost all the elementary schools around us have pretty strict uniform/dress code policies, down to what color shirts they have to wear.

I'd prefer my kid go to a school without a uniform policy, but that is looking less and less like an option.
