I am bummed that the only way to edit colors on live journal layouts these days is via css.
Same with adding your own background images.
It all makes it so much more bland, doesn't it ?

if you use the "flexible squares" layout, you can put your own background image on you LJ page and if i'm not mistaken, you can also change some of the colors
