Cormac McCarthy is a hot property lately! The Road was an excellent though nightmare-causing book and is being made into a movie for next year, with Eric Bana I think. It's about a man and his child nine years after nuclear holocaust, when people search the remains of burnt-out cities for the tiniest scraps of food and roving packs of cannibals are all that's left of civilization.
I haven't read NCFOM, but now I want to. And see it.

but I hear the worst things about the book and movie of All The Pretty Horses, national book award or not.

I'm actually about to start listening to the audio book of "the road" because some of my friends highly reccomend it to me, and now you too!

and it's the only other movie I've seen at the arclight...the other one being little miss sunshine with you! but hey, i'm on a roll two amazing movies there...hahaha!
