Suggest a TV show for me to mainline?

We will not be traveling for the holidays, because of tl;dr reasons, so I am toying with the idea of starting a new-to-me TV series on DVD with some of my free at-home time. I started thinking about it and I've managed to avoid a lot of critically acclaimed shows in the past few years, because I tend to be a completist if I start something so am ( Read more... )

The Walking Dead and/or Game Of Thrones. Mainly because I love both shows to bits but also because I haven't seen any of the other shows.

Thanks for the rec. I tried to watch one ep of Game of Thrones and had to stop because of all of the horrible things that were happening to seemingly all the characters. I'll have to see how high my tolerance for torture is. ;)

If you think GOT is not for you then TWD might not be, either. Yes, totally different premises but both are really brutal, each in their own way.

And re-watching Due South is always a great option! *grins*

Yeah, I'm not a total wimp but sometimes I can't bear more pain even when it's just being visited on fictional characters, yannow?

My DH has us rewatching (well, watching, in my case, a lot of the time) Star Trek: The Next Generation, so that'll suck up some hours. ;)

I liked the few episodes I saw of Life - season 1 I think. I'm not usually a cop drama person though.
