I love the mirror image in the second one.

Also, since I've been in seminary, we've learned about the Sabbath Rest we find in Jesus-- rest from our toils against sin, and rest from our sinful flesh. REST IN CHRIST! Beautiful.

I've been trying to catch the critter mid-yawn on camera for the past three years! Finally, victory!

Rest from sin and toil. Beautiful is right.... ♥

What kind of cat is Figwit? We're looking to get a cat, and, from all of your kittie posts, yours is just so dang cute. We want one. Seriously. I mean...just look at him.

His personality is sooooooo pronounced! I love it. He is Maine Coon, and apparantly most cats in the breed are like him. They act almost like dogs -- greeting you at the door when you come home, "talking" a lot by meowing (warning, if you like quiet at night), and snuggling a lot. At the same time, you can leave them alone for a long time and they do fine and don't have separation anxieties too badly.

Another warning: Maine Coons can get HUGE. Figwit is a muscular 20 pounds, and he eats about 1-1/2 cups of dry food a day. Others can get up to 30 pounds without being obese yet.

Also: They are from Maine originally, so they do need to have cool air. Haha, so why do I live in Florida? :-) Figwit stays inside because of the temperature issue.

Awesome. We thought he was a Maine Coon, but wanted to make sure. My wife wants a fluffy, cuddly, cute cat; and I want to get it for her birthday.
I've been fairly impressed with the "cute-itude" of Senor Figwit, so the Main Coon breed seems like it will be a good one for our house.
Just have to get the landlord's approval now...
