After we had all pretty much decided to spend quiet nights at home, I took out my contacts, changed, and started getting ready for bed. But then, the phone call. Craig was asking us to go to a movie playing 25 minutes away, starting in 20 minutes. And ( Read more... )

I didn't know there was a comic strip ... although that would explain what the critters were doing with the comic strip frames while the end credits were rolling. Umm. It was enjoyable. I'd go again, but I don't know that I'd pay fullprice for it again. Maybe at the dollar theater, or with a discount ticket. Sorry about leaving you behind, it was so last-minute!

You have no idea the kind of joy this brings to me.

I will find a good recipe for coffee cookies, bake and mail them to you.

By the way, can you give me a detailed report of how the shot heard 'round the world was executed along with a reaction from the parties?

It may merit it's own LJ entry.

Thanks!

ha! we went to see it too last night
we didnt tell alex, it was a surprise, we even had him close his eyes from two blocks away and mike carried him up to the ticket booth and put him right in front of one of the signs for it.

when he opened his eyes he squeeled so loud! We loved the movie...very little bad stuff for kids. But did you hear the songs at the credits? very anit-'suburbia/clear cutting/ modern insulated american life' i loved that part!

"Mommy's out bouncing checks / Daddy's juggling credit card debt."

Yeah, I really liked the credits music! Wish that I could read what the lyrics were ... we were hooting with laughter at parts, at others kind of groaning.

So neat for Alex! Y'all were really cool parents to do it that way.
