The Truth as I See It

I usually keep these thoughts to myself, as the majority of this country is Christian. But here it is.

Christians, watch with caution. This is why I no longer believe in what the Bible says.

Not watching this because I can't stand Bill Maher TBH, but I came to the conclusion recently that I am no longer a Christian.

I read Zealot by Reza Aslan last year and it pointed out a lot of historical fallacies about the story of Christ. He also talked about how in those times, people didn't actually take Biblical stories as the literal truth, but rather accepted them for the morals they revealed. Somewhere along the line, fundamentals started thinking every word of the Bible was true, but that's not how it began.

*shrugs* I may be naive, but I still believe in a God or some kind of higher power. I just don't think it's the same God that Christians worship.

There is probably a very small grain of truth in all religions, and it boils down to the same thing.

Bill Maher is not for everyone.

That is true. Bill Maher is a pretty hard shot that doesn't always go down smoothly, if ever.

Still, thanks for posting this. It does make many valid points.

There are several Bill Maher videos that I have refrained from posting. This one hit close to home for me, and I thought it was more tolerable than some (I hope).
