The driveway situation is beginning to annoy me.

We have our schedules pretty well worked out during the week, but two Sundays in a row, I had to wake them up at 10:40 to ask them to move their car so I could go to church.  After all the talk they gave me the night I met them about how they were led to the church they chose, I was surprised that for two weeks in a row they didn’t bother going.

What I neglected to say, and have now added, is that there is a church council meeting next Wednesday, and I plan to be there. It should be interesting.

*hugs back*

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear how this turned out for you guys. I understand -and how! We have a preschool, food cupboard and cub-scouts in our building and that's working so far, but we used to also have a grade school that did the same thing, took over and considered the congregation's 'stuff' to be in the way. It hurt a lot of people's feelings to have to close the school, but what a relief for our congregation, stress-wise! We're trying to figure out how in the world to get the money to fix our roof right now, but not enough to bring in a modern rock-band church yet... *sigh*... Sounds like you guys really need a strong personality to speak for your church trustees and need to draft some very specific guidelines on how the property is to be used or you'll get pushed around and run right over. :-(

Like I said, the trustees aren't united on the fact that there is a problem. The trustees' meeting was supposed to hammer out things to be discussed at council this week. I don't think much was done, so this week's meeting should be real interesting. :/

Yes, it's a very stressful situation.

Good luck with the roof project. Roofs are expensive.

Amen - and all our guys are either kids, too old or have bad backs, meaning we have to hire it done as well and get the materials. I had no idea how huge it was this. In the meantime, we have buckets out to catch drips when it rains (which it always does here...)

Post something on how your meeting went later - may all involved find some unity on it.

Good luck with the church council, Bon. I hope that the situation gets more calm at your church.

Thank you, I hope so, too.

And nice choice of icon, BTW!
