Well, Sydney and I have come full circle.  I had gotten two kinds of liquid (thank God) medications for him: a steroid, which is supposed to shrink any cancerous growth, if there is one; and some other medicine which is supposed to help irritation in his digestive system ( Read more... )

I'm sorry your baby's sick... *hugs you both* does he eat "treats"? like ham or turkey? whenI had to give Pip some liquid stuff I have to put it in a little bit of bread and wrap it in ham then he eats it.. perhasp it would kinda work with Sydney, chicken breast and let it soak in...

I can't imagine that working. I don't think it would absorb any decent quantity to get it in him.

He doesn't get excited much over human food anyway, and he's getting so little nutritional value from anything he eats, I feel I should stick with stuff formulated for cats.

I think he feels a little better than he did last night. One step up and two steps back, it seems.

I've heard about cooking for dogs, but not for cats.

I can't imagine doing that - I hardly cook much for myself these days!

Thanks for your suggestions, though!

*hugs*

I am sorry to hear you both are continuing to struggle...
I wish I could do something to help.
So many of my friends seem to be going through some trying times.
I'm thinking of you and Sydney...
Hugs,
y

Thanks for the well wishes.

Yes, I suspect a nasty "bad things" virus is going around.

I'm sorry to hear about the continuing kitty woes :( I don't know if you've tried wrapping your cat in a towel up to the neck and getting behind him to administer the medicine. It's the only way to get meds into my cats. Good luck and best wishes to you and Sydney. Happy Thanksgiving too. :)

I've heard of that. I haven't tried it simply because I sometimes have so little time with the poor guy as it is, I guess I just can't stand the idea of becoming the source of his daily torture and little else.

I suppose if I were more optimmistic about this actually doing him some good, I'd be more willing to put him (and me) through it.
