Let the Self-Righteous Religious Indignation Continue!

My letter was in tonight's paper. We'll see how many people wag their proverbial fingers in my face.

Meanwhile, Jon Stewart was back last night, and he had a few words to say, as well.

~"You've confused the war on your religion with not always getting everything you want."~

No kidding, eh?

Did they do this back in the days of segregation? "Serving 'those people' goes against my religious beliefs."

I just want to slap someone.

The problem with panels like that is I can guarantee they were not chosen for their moderate beliefs. Moderation and sane discussion do not sell advertising time nor bring in the viewers.

A sad commentary of "journalism"'s slavery to capitalism. At least Mr. Stewart doesn't try to present himself as anything other than what he is- an unapologetic curmudgeon.

Mr. Stewart presents himself as a comedian and satirist, and what he satires is journalism's slavery to capitalism and sensationalism.

I find the whole comparing being required to offer employees birth control if they wish it to Nazi Germany to be highly offensive. It's offensive to Holocaust survivors, veterans of WWII, women, and anyone who has either read up on Nazi Germany and/or just expects important policy decisions to be made with some semblance of maturity.

I agree. In the name of drama, they invoke the Holocaust, and in the process, minimalize its significance and impact.
