...I've stopped bothering with travel agencies in Japan. People use them only because they're rich and lazy. (Okay, really awful blanket statement that is entirely untrue, but excuse me, I'm bitter.) It's actually turned out to be both easier AND cheaper to plan everything myself. Kind of a hassle, and yet, in the end, not always as big a hassle as dealing with a travel agent is. :P
