So today one of the Korean CIRs (♂) essentially told me in passing that I am relatively unattractive. He was making small talk with the people in my area, and I had just told him that a picture he showed me was funny because everyone was making a weird expression. There was no lead up that I could see, anyway

Btw unsolicited advice? Lol I would hardly call his comment an advice. Don't pay him much heed. Just pretend crap came out of his mouth. Karma will kick him later :)

Lisa, this is exactly what I've been talking about with gender ideals and pigheaded men. I know that he suckerpunched you with that remark, but let the little cruelties stay that way. The only thing you should do is keep your head held high and go back to your day-to-day with the utmost confidence that you're going to go far in life. So what about little faces? It doesn't do anything for personal beliefs and experience. You have your entire life ahead of you, and you know you'll spend your time wisely. Don't worry about what complete strangers do or say. Channel the sadness into productivity. Or run into him again and tell him that he should "watch out" and not stand between men with big dicks. Casually. And then walk away.
