Yesterday, I helped out with the Fumito Nunoya marimba concert and went to half of it; the performer was really good. It was my second time seeing that particular marimbist play, but I don't understand why I didn't remember his performance more the first time.

Hey now, Evacuation Day is a real holiday -- I send my grandmother flowers for it every year. It's not quite as cool as Patriot's Day, but it'll do. XD

Patriot's Day is super random, too! But at least I get school off so it is acceptable. I don't think other states strange holidays like these though.

Well... no, I think my grandmother's just insane and gets mad if we don't.

My (other) grandparents got married on Patriot's Day, so they'd always have the day off for their anniversary -- then it was changed to a Monday holiday. Oh well.

And, well, they're not strange holidays if you're a commonwealth still stuck in the Revolutionary War, like Massachusetts. (Except I originally typed 'Civil War', because I go to school in a commonwealth that's stuck in that one. XD)

I can fully sympathise with your wallet of brokeness. In fact, our wallets should be friends so they can comfort each other in their time of nothing.
