I think the whole country image is something Japan still needs a lot of work on. In this day and age, I don't even consider guessing where someone is from by what they look like (or even what their name is). I might think I have an idea, but I'll often wait (or ask) for confirmation before voicing any assumptions, and it's not going to surprise me when the Korean-looking lady with the Korean name is actually from England and speaks fluent English and no Korean at all
