Aha, cool. I've registered for the Open Beta now and will download the client when I get home from work in a few hours. Thanks for the link, I'm also sure I will want to check out those build planners.

I was just sort of winging it, like I do, though I did follow the suggestions of the game. I ended up with a very playable character.

Curse you! I've screwed around in the beta already, and liked it so far. Now I wonder what teaming is like, and social. Get in vent!

Hmm, I was going to try this but I can't seem to get in without a beta key. Can you pass one along, or is it all closed up again?

It's in open beta until Monday at 1PM Eastern. You just need to get an account with Trion, which is free.

Yeah, it just took a while to get the email with the link and such. Apparently it's going to take another hour to download the latest patch, which should be enough time to get some homework done.

Any recommendations on articles for newbies? The chargen articles seem to assume you know what's going on. :)
