If you've read the Harry Potter books, you should be able to spell the names correctly. Yet, there's one name that gets slaughtered and mangled consistently...and it's simple to sound out! Z-a-b-i-n-i, Zabini ( Read more... )

Yes! I get kind of mad when people spell Zabini wrong. Thanks for pointing it out to all authors for future reference.

Lol, oh no problem, I just wanted to express my opinion. I get really nervous when some authors mispell proper names, and they don't even change it when it was pointed out.

Hey dear... apparently you missed the spelling 'Zamboni' somewhere along the way.

For the ***** writer who used that one... ask any ice skater what a 'Zamboni' is and you'll get a big machine that smoothes the surface of an ice rink.

I graduated from a university in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, not too far from the shores of Lake Superior...and I forgot that one?

Loved your rant... only thing I'd add is that not only is his name Blaise Zabini, but he's BLACK and MALE... as of July 16, 2005. Any fic written after that which does not include those details makes me grind my teeth into dust.
