He made me laugh, smile, shiver, and groan. He was a wonderful actor who knew he was acting and then left the stage and went on living.

He joins the ranks of Olivier and Hepburn, Cagney and Bowie, and so many others who illuminated and elevated our lives.

God bless, Mr. Rickman...you were always more than a character.
