This sounds good and I know exactly what you mean. A friend lasts and its good to know there are sensible people out there!

The PSP sounds shiny and sexy and another new friend of the lasting sort!

And the fastest internet connection and download speed was achieved in Tokyo... so yeah, Japan's internet should be fine.

And while I wouldn't use a PSP... a DS is truly good. I have two! One is a Final Fantasy limited ( but not Crisis Core!) and one is pink.
