I'd have to read it again before I could say for sure,
but I think you may have missed something there,
exemplified by the line I like to quote so often:
"A door unbust is always open to busting, but you can't unbust a door once you've busted in."
IIRC, that idle prattle parallels the development of the storyline.
Or maybe I just thought it did.

The ill-temper, of course, was an effect the invisiblity,
but that may have been a bad idea...

I read it years ago. I started itagain, with an audio book I bought with special offer through Audible.com, which has four of his stories, this among them.

Have not got past 3 words yet on my current story, but severe lack of sleep and ex h austion are the major culprits.

Yeah - you need to get some rest before writing. I can never write at all when I'm tired - even reading can be iffy if I'm embroiled in something with depth!

That has pretty much been my problem. I cannot sleep, and it gets bad enough, that I cannot write.
