Another review... and another way to think of my writing

The first full-length review of Tenth Orbit and Other Faraway Places (Amazon | Kindle | Barnes & Noble) came out yesterday.  It was a really positive review written by Bruce Durham (an excellent writer in his own right), and it got me thinking of my chosen field of writing.  You can read it here.

I don't know about your press, but with HRB there's no "fixing" typos once it's with the printer. The cost of reformatting, even though it's print on demand or whatever, isn't worth it for the most part. Small presses make little enough on the books they publish. To have to pay a reformatting fee just chunks away too much.

Otherwise, great review! Maybe one day, I'll actually get to READ the book I got for Christmas!! I'm hoping for April. I like to read short stories while on the beach. Perfect reading material, IMO. :)

Yep, beach reading seems to be the perfect fit. And I should have brought books of short fiction with me to the beach this time, as what I did bring: a mix of classics, philosophy and Agatha Christie had little other than the murder mysteries to break the sensation of weightiness.

And we have the same issues with typoes as HRB, so it seems to be a similar situation.

If that review is accurate,
I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
Whether it will be four or five stars' of enjoyment
remains to be seen.
