[Zhaneel has been keeping rather quietly to herself since her evening away with Lucas, choosing to focus a good portion of her time on scouting the area for any further sign of monsters that might threaten those of Vertiline

[With a head bob no one can see Zhaneel cuts communication and takes to the air, but not before arming herself with a few choice implements. Looking at the gryphon, you might not think that she'd need anything more than her natural claws or beak, but she's also rather talented with the use of a crossbow.
Said instrument is now secured to her back, between her wings, along with a selection of bolts hooked around her lower foreleg. Hunting had many aspects that the gryphon enjoyed and she could hone skills that some might not even be aware of.
She reaches the temple in good time, glancing to see if Kevas has arrived before her.]
[Kevas is indeed there before Zhaneel, exiting the temple shortly after her arrival. Instead of carrying any kind of bow or crossbow with him, Kevas has several throwing axes strapped to his belt. After using them for so long he's far more accurate with them then anything else.
When the troll sees his companion he tips his hat to her politely. He honestly didn't expect her to be armed. With talons like hers Kevas doesn't see why she would need it, but then again she's nothing like the gyrphons he's used to.]
[Zhaneel spies her friend as he exits the temple proper, rustling her feathers slightly as she adjusts her wings along her back.
The crossbow is not something she needs by any means, but if she wants to keep up on her skills, she knows that she needs to use it every so often.
Her posture is slightly tense, but it's due more to excitement and anticipation than anything.]
I do not believe I could be any more ready.
[Does she sound a bit excited, Kevas? She totally is! She's only done minor hunting since arriving here, but the chance to go after bigger prey is a great one!]
I think, between the pair of us, that we can handle a good sized stag or two, aye?
[And perhaps she could even talk out the kitchens out of a forequarter. Stars, but it had been forever since she'd eaten in such a manner.]
[All Kevas has done lately is some fishing, but that's more to relax than anything else. Hunting will be a good test of skills. It's a tad bit harder when you aren't able to turn invisible.]
Ladymon I bet we could at least bag ouhselves fuh or five of dem.
[Nothing wrong with a bit of friendly bravado.]
Be gettin' tired of beans anyway.
[Not to mention he's sure he can find a use for the skin and horns. Maybe he'll even make some jerky with the meat.]
[Zhaneel chortles softly, although she does not particularly find Kevas' words bravado. No, she is actually relatively certain that they could manage just that with he at her side, would they be interested in that many.]
Mmm .. Quite possible, I would say.
[At the bean quip she actually snorts, shaking her head.]
You are far stronger than I, Kevas .. I could not fathom eating beans when the splendor of meat it so readily available.
[A bean bird Zhaneel is decidedly not. She gives her head a jerk in the direction of the non-fog filled wood and cants a feathered brow.]
[Amongst his own kind Kevas' strength is fairly average. He's fit there's no doubt about that but a troll warrior could easily overpower. Not to mention beserkers and dire trolls, but the less said about them the better.]
Aftah joo my stalwart companion.
[Kevas grins and gestures her to take the lead, ladymons first after all.]
I can go wid jah.

Zhaneel straightens a bit and looks at her communicator, breathing a sigh of relief at hearing from him. You're not dead, yay!]
I would be happy for the company, Kevas. Two pairs of eyes would quite improve the chances of bringing back something for the kitchens, I think.
