Aww... I liked Get Smart! It was exactly what it claimed to be, and funnier than I had anticipated. Haven't seen Inkheart (yet), thought District 9 was kind of lame and overly obvious and too full of guns, and haven't bothered with 2012 because I think it'd make me stupider.

THUMBS UP!

District 9 was entirely Improv Acting. They had storyboards & plot movements but from there all their dialogue, actions & body language etc was made up on the go. Most of the actors & crew were first timers with no previous experience at all & learnt as they went. And all of the changes & injuries sustained by the main character were physical makeup - INCLUDING his eye change at the end. He would spend up to 7 hours in the makeup chair every day. If you can get your hands on the behind the scenes documentary they did on D9, you should take the time to watch it. I recommend it almost as much as the film itself.

I thought the Get Smart was pretty enjoyable but I found much of the humor to be very broad and unsubtle. And it was surprisingly violent for a PG movie.
