The morning after: a bath, a bar & a period drama.

Dec 01, 2009 04:02

Upon awaking this morning I found that the stress, pressure and sheer drain of yesterday had effected me adversely after all. Wanting to be able to do everything, go everywhere and be as much as I could be for Corinne, her memory, her family, our friends, MY family… I was shocked in the evening that I’d held up, physically, so well.

But this ( Read more... )

lush, death, bath, film, health

When I was standing in the lounge room doorway talking to Erik, he thought I was holding a REALLY BIG biscuit and was kind of jealous until I explained it was a bath bar. xD

Every time I see anything from Lush these days I think of this review I saw of one of their halloween bath bombs- I don't even remember what it was called but it had bits of parsley and other herby things in it and the girl said that she felt like she was in a bugs bunny cartoon where he was tricked into the soup pot and veggies and such were chopped into the water.

I wish I had a bigger bathtub.

Ahahhahaaaaaa!! That's so epically awesome. xD

I wish I had a bigger one too. Ours is basically a kiddie tub under the shower. I have to fold up in order to be in it - which isn't the greatest for my back but its better than NOTHING.

Yeah ours is just your typical (at least here) bathtub/shower combo you'd find in a hotel or something. I hate it because I can't really lay down in it, and since I'm chunky it feels even smaller. Someday I will have a gigantic hyooooooge tub.

The problem with MASSIVE tubs (well at least here anyway) is you feel like a massively MASSIVE water waster >_<;;; Especially as I can't personally bucket the water out to the garden or anything.

I used Greg's HUAG SPA once before he moved in with me, AWESOME hour in the water - he put the last episode of first season True Blood on my laptop on for me and drew me the bath and I squealed and delighted in stretching all the way out in multiple directions. But GODDAMN we didn't know what to do with all the water afterwards.

One day, in my imaginary future house, I'm going to have a HUGE tub. And a rather large pump to send the water out into the garden/grey water tank to go with it xD

We never demo a Ma Bar because it looks like poo in the water D: But it smells so good.
John ate the sugar cube and doesn't recommend it, bi-carbtastic.

I don't think I'd ever attempt to eat anything off of a Lush bar, ever O_O;;;;;

I have two big problems with Lush.
1. It always looks so yummy that I want to eat it.
2. This house has a bath tub that just fits a small flea. Sucky.

I'm glad that it made you feel a little better though :-)

Our bath is VERY similar. Its really just the bottom of the shower - I pretty much have to fold in half to get in it. BUT its all we have so that's what I have to deal with.

That being said, before he moved in with me, I onced had a bath in my partner's spa. It felt INCREDIBLY decadent and horrifically water wasting *laughs* I had the WATER WASTE guilt, and as someone who would be unable to bucket out the water to the garden myself its kind of nice that our actual bath is so crap. xD

I love this post! I am addicted to bath products, and have always wondered about the Lush stuff. (I'd have to buy it online where I am- the closest one is in Dallas, I think. Five hours away.) But this is an excellent write-up! I love a good bath!

And big thanks for the period drama mention too- I hadn't even heard of that film yet, and I love a good period drama. It's going on my Netflix queue right away!

(Yep, normally just here for your Sims goodness, but this post was so great I had to comment. ^_^)

Oh I've been a MASSIVE lush fan for years, but its gotten more so since my back went out the window pretty much entirely. I'd meant to be doing this kind of thing earlier but you know how it is.

SO! I got all inspired and literary, coupled with the fact that the Journalpress plugin for wordpress rocks my world and VOILA! UPDATENESS :D
