In preparation for things to come, referenced to by my previous post, I now know the following:

Firefox 2 has spell-checking in text input fields, and you can choose the language, but only en_US is pre-installed. It does, unfortunately, seem to remember the preferred language globally rather than per-field, so I seem to be switching between en_GB en nl_NL a bit too often.
