Oh, fic about Felix and Gaius at the start of New Caprica is always so lovely and hurty! Bittersweet maybe, but very good nonetheless.

The bleak, beautiful planet may welcome them with a harsh breath of ice, like a head-strong lover, but Felix is sure the right sort of warmth still lightens his and Gaius’ hearts.

I especially love that line. The imagery, the metaphor about the headstrong lover, is so choice.

That is such a great icon!

Thank you! It's kind of a happy moment - because at this point they are happy - but then again not.

I'm glad you liked it! I think there was always a hint of bitterness with Baltar and Gaeta, even during their good days.

Just *kill* me, why don't you? ;)

No, seriously, this is beautiful and knowing what's coming, heartwrenchingly sad. I'd like to think they had this kind of moment, though.

This is gorgeous imagery, and I love the way you could draw a parallel between how this planet will end up treating them and the way Gaius will end up treating Felix. Both will chew their lovers up and spit them out when push comes to shove. *sigh*

Bittersweet, yes, but beautiful too. Great drabble!

It really is bittersweet. Great imagery, too, and a great last line. I like it a lot.
