You know those bookshelves do look pretty - I had never thought of arranging by colour, and I still wouldn't do it as i also like to know where my books are. But it is very pretty...
Sorry about the work woes, but I do hope you find a table that you like.
I like to be able to find a book when the mood hits me, and I can imagine color coding them would be a fiasco. It's one of those things that looks good but isn't functional.
Yay! I'm really glad that you found a table - looking for furniture that is going to be part of life for a long time is quite hard work, if enjoyable.
I really am the same as you about books - ours are vaguely arranged by author and type - I don't think I'd ever have the sort of house where the prettiness would outweigh the practicality! Especially as I see there is a dog chosen to match the settee! (If it was the other way around, the covers would be mud covered for when the dog comes in from the yard. But if that were a real house you feel that dog wouldn't be allowed out in case it brought dirt in.)
It is very pretty, but my books aren't rainbow colored. I wonder if most of the designer's books are chick lit. My books seem to be more black, white, red, and green. Mine are more subdued in color.
Her library is pretty, but I bet I can find a certain book on my shelf faster.
I don't use Dewey Decimal exactly, but I couldn't possibly coordinate my books by color (even though the method looks fantastic aesthetically). I group by author and then genre...mostly.
ACK! A hungry printer!
Here's hoping you find tables you like. I've been searching for a sofa for Lord knows how long and can't find one. :/
I don't really do Dewey Decimal either, but all the biographies are in one bookcase in alphabetical order, the art books are on the ledge, travel/geography books are in another bookcase, and inspirational/self-help books are in another. Oh, and fiction is bursting at the seams in the family room, with overflows beginning to stack...
I did find a table! I love it, but I didn't like the chairs at all. So we just bought the table.
