I was a bit concerned when I found out there was going to be a remake of Where The Wild Things Are, one of my favourite books when I was a kid (along with The Very Hungry Caterpiller and anything that Gavin Bishop illustrated

OMG, OMG, OM-freaking-G!!! I'm so psyched for this in only the way that something I had no idea about or ever thought could be possible is exciting me. I'm totally not making sense right now but I don't care because all I know is that Spike Jonze + Where the Wild things Are + Arcade Fire in the trailer equals pure brilliance! So going to be epic, true story.

Matt sent me the link this morning and I was watching it at work going....."Oh....my.....god....." It looks amazing and visually it's so faithful to what the illustrations in the book; the Wild Things are literally lifed from the page and Max's suit and crown are perfect!!

I cannot wait for this movie to come out....but on imdb it has an October 2009 release date :( IMDB also has a really cute picture of Spike Jonze giving the boy playing Max a piggyback ride, it's cute :)

Anyway I cannot wait for it. Had to post it here to share the joy.
