Actually, I've been here for a while, but I've been *sniffle* Lurking. I've included a poem here for criticism, or discussion, but hopefully not flames. It's a sonnet I wrote for one of my English classes, working title - "Will You Return Again? Thoughts Of A Maiden"

something about the rhythm in "The sun gilds the clouds a brilliant pink;/The ship a handsome silhouette" doesn't set well. I love the images though

Thanks! It's not in iambic pentameter, which is probably why the scheme is a bit off. But if you take it on its own, it sounds fine to me. :)

I was just lurking around as well.. i really loved the feeling of the poem.. im more of a free verse person but, i liked the way that you wrote this.. it made me smile alot...:)see there iam smiling alot again

Aw, thanks! I'm generally more of a free-verser too, but this was an assignment, so I had to follow the parameters.
