season of the witch

I really need to start spending more time here! Todays goal is to get going on “Season of the Witch, town of the witch” and hopefully decide what decade to set it in. It is either in the 1920’s or in the 2000’s. What do you guys think? 20’s or 00’s?

right now I seem to have moved into the 00's, but that can still change. It's not like I can't rewrite, right?

depends on how much research you want to do and boy the attitudes would be so different between the two

It would be my second piece set in the 20's, so I have done a lot of the research, not all mind you, but much of it. Most of my research was on the Maritimes in Canada

That's quite a leap!
I vote for alternate universe: set in 2000's, with people following the customs etc which people did here in -our- alternate universe!

And certainly a serious challenge for a whole novel. OTOH, you might really have some fun playing around with this in a short story.
By the time the short story was finished, it might have provided you with a clear decision re time setting. (Or leave you bonking your forehead agst the keyboard. )
