This is a bigger job than it sounds, and could cost quite a lot of money. Webcams (normally) have poor quality plastic lenses, that although technically range to infinity, are made to work over 2-3M. Also if you had a cam connected to your network, you would have to host the images whih would take up a lot of CPU time, and you would have to tunnel it thorugh firewalls and such, so not as easy as it sounds.
There is a piece of software that you could use called 'Active Webcam' by PY Software, which you can use unregistered. Yopu can also use an ip cam (which has a direct tcp/ip interface, to connect direct to your network, but everything you want is a big job. Sorry, not actually much hlep.
Hmm... maybe I will go with option 1 then and get a TV card in my PC at work and then rig up the existing cameras to the PC and put them on the internet.
