Er, hello. Stalking Yuletide letters, as you do... I've loved Mary-Poppins-the-movie literally all my life, and THIS POST. I never quite knew where my love for a certain type of urban fantasy comes from before. *sparkles in eyes* ;-) So much love for this post.

YAY, I'm so glad my ramblings made sense to someone!

I have a similar love for urban fantasy and was so excited when I traced it back to the Mary Poppins movie. I think there might be a kernel of it in a lot of modern Urban Fantasy, whether the authors remember it or not.
