For the record, here's the plan for my Linux box at home. The first major goal is to convert Chris's old computer at home to a Linux box and hook it up to the internet. I'll need to get a router and network the family computers in order to do this. A nice side-effect of this is that I'll have my own computer! Yay

Hi Phil,

Oh, good, you know about routers, too! I want to network our family's computer, Becky's computer, and Chris's old computer (that's the one that'll be my Linux box) together (right now the family one is the only one on the internet; Comcast is our ISP). So I need to figure out whether to go with a wireless or wired router, and how much it costs, etc., etc. So maybe you can offer some advice on that?
