I've just discovered that Cogent is PSINet!!!

Which is TIAC, the bastards from whom I escaped so long ago.

It looks like Cogent, the place where my pings go to die, are a bunch of
spammer-hosting bastards.

Does Fuitadnet have a business relationship with Cogent? I don't know. I finally managed to reach a tech at Fuitadnet, and all he would say was that it wasn't their problem, and that I should talk to my ISP. Totally f--king useless.

This sucks.

Heard back from Security. Apparently I'd forgotten that everything not mandatory is forbidden. So when I'm asked to send a file off-site during some emergency in the future, I'll be totally unable to help ( Read more... )

I'm still unable to reach my site or email from work. I was able to reach them from my parents' computer over the weekend, so my guess is that something is screwed up. Surprise ( Read more... )

All day I've been completely unable to reach my email, my site, and even my host. But I've been able to view pretty much everything else on the web normally. When I try to ping my site it just times out.

I called Fuitadnet and they say they're up. Can anyone else reach my site? Just wondering!

Once again events have kicked into overdrive.
