300 spam

In the last couple of days I've gotten two spams for the movie 300 that have been put in the comments of old entries. Has anyone else experienced that?

No, and I was unaware that spambots were able to leave comments in LiveJournal. That is really uncool! :( Only registered LiveJournal users can leave comments on my journal, and I wonder if allowing anonymous comments (especially unscreened) opens the gate to spam.

I had a spam for car insurance this last week, and some other thing a while back. Nothing for that movie. The car insurance thing was in my sadly only actual Arisia report (I fell down on the job there, but as I had a grand total of one real reply it's not as if people really cared what I thought) which I think had no reference to cars, but instead to a web comics panel. I'm not sure what logic the apam bots use to determine that a thread would be a good target; if the thread had been "I'm getting screwed on my car insurance" it might have made sense, or even if I'd made any reference to a car at all. Oh well; I deleted it and checked the box indicating that it was spam.
