For me, it totally depends upon a time/place/situation/other surrounding circumstances. There are few games that I dislike playing. Each one has its own "right" moment.
I think that you are usually pretty good at placing a game with a situation.
There are a few fall backs that are always good for our friends, particularly of the "apples to apples" sort. I don't get as easily bored with games as some people do. If it works, it works.
