um, why didn't this happen in 2000? With the disputed election results and less than 1% difference, it was basically a tie. Why did it go to the Supreme Court? Do you know?

i think there was more going on then...AND with the disputed election results at the state level, they had to address that first. the republican party is good at character assassination and confusion
