Prompted by a post on Grognardia about Thief hate , I was prompted to track down the mini rant I posted on rec.games.frp.dnd way back in the day.  Then I started looking at my other contributions to usenet. I think I had more that 34 posts (across 2 addresses) but what are you gonna do?

Wow. It's a new level of grognardism to hate thieves as a character class.

As far as I'm concerned, there's only one reason to hate thiefs, and that's when you get an annoying twink who uses the excuse "But I'm just playing my character class!" to be an ussufferable asshole, up to the point of killing the rest of the party..

That's just unacceptable.

Because that's the PALADIN'S job.
