I'll find a job. Due to the vagaries of government contracting, my
employer laid off my entire team. That would be the team that *both*
yarntricia  and I worked for.

So I'm looking for work. Java Programming, or anything requiring strong
electronics background. Currently planning to stay in the Pacific NW,
for family reasons we REALLY don't want to move very far

My goodness. You guys have had a rough year. Unfortunately I don't have much good in the way of leads to give you, except to say that I know my husband's company is hiring. But the best way to get picked up by them is to get your resume out on sites like monster.com. They do a lot of getting people by way of recruiters.
